Buffalo gores camper on Southern California island

AVALON, Calif. — Government say a buffalo has gored a person tenting on Southern California’s Catalina Island.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s officers say the person used to be sitting on a log Saturday night time and the buffalo used to be grazing within reach.

Sgt. Ray Ward says that after the buffalo got here nearer, the person attempted to transport away and that’s when the animal charged.

Ward says the buffalo gored the person’s left arm. He didn’t know the level of the wounds.

The Orange County Sign in reviews that the person used to be handled on the scene after which airlifted to a clinic at the mainland.

Buffalo are not unusual and roam freely at the again facet of Catalina Island, the place there are campgrounds. Ward says it’s very uncommon for them to assault people.
